It’s been a very long time since I slipped into an outift that I wouldn’t mind getting soaked, stretched and covered in burger sauce and visited one of a handful of UK theme parks… A long time until YESTERDAY, that is, when I, along with my girlfriend, made my way to the legendary Thorpe Park.
The first thing that hit me when I arrived was that I was gonna be doing an obscene amount of queueing during the six or seven hours I was there. In fact, we only got to go on five rides all day – but it was more than worth it (particularly on the 2 for 1 offer we went in with!).
ROLLERCOASTERS MAKE ME SWEAR – that’s the next thing I realised after I rode the Nemesis, a rollercoaster that spins and twirls and all that malarky, as your legs hang down. I can’t really repeat what I said, mainly because I don’t remember a word of it, but it was pretty X-rated. That rollercoaster kicked me straight up the arse and reminded me what the damn things are all about – but WHAT a rush of adrenalin you get from them.
I’d say the Saw ride (themed on the movies) was probably the highlight of the day. It’s just a minute of torture on a windy track…
So, yeah, theme parks are great… I really wanna go again now! I was rather impressed that my lady went on them all too… there was no way I was backing down if she was doing it
Check this clip of Stealth out. This ‘coaster is short but sweet, sending you from 0-100mph (or something) in less than a second and high up into the skies YEAH!
it’s run on magnets and here’s what can happen if it doesn’t get enough energy! ARGHHHH SHIT!!!
and here’s Saw… Scarey! at 19 seconds, I feel the guys pain, I really do!
DON’T GET DIZZY!
Or am I just a wimp?????
